Colorado Legal Services received a Pro Bono Innovation Fund grant from the Legal Services Corporation in 2014 and again in 2016. Because of the grant we have been able to initiate programs that use Denver metro area lawyers to staff remotely pro bono legal clinics to serve low-income clients in many rural communities where services are limited. Please contact Jen Cuesta at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or to apply for the following opportunity:
Family Law Clinic by Videoconference. CLS provides legal advice and document drafting for low income clients in the 22nd Judicial District with their family law matters. This clinic uses remote attorneys to increase the pro bono services. Each clinic occurs the last Tuesday of the month from 4-7 pm, for walk-ins and those with an appointment. Volunteers need a private location where they can access the internet, a webcam and a microphone. Before the clinic, volunteers will be emailed court papers and documents for each client with an appointment.
